Delete your counts, account or data
Link to section: Delete your counts, account or dataSnapCount is developed by Nexdev. You can delete your data in the app, or ask us to delete it for you.
- One count: swipe it in History and tap Delete, or open it and choose Delete from the menu. Its photo is deleted too.
- Your history: History › Clear History removes recent counts. Counts saved to collections stay.
- A collection: open it and choose Delete Collection. The counts in it stay in your history.
- Your account (email accounts): Profile › Account › Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, email address, all counts with their photos and notes, and your collections, right away.
Using SnapCount as a guest, or can’t open the app?
Email us with the subject “Delete my SnapCount data”. Sending it from Profile › Help & Support includes your guest account ID, which lets us find your data. We’ll delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
What we keep
Copies in short-term server backups and logs are overwritten within 30 days. Purchase records are kept by Apple and our subscription provider. Analytics data is not linked to your name and expires on its own. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Deleting your data doesn’t cancel your subscription
Cancel it in your App Store account settings first, as described above.
Your account
Link to section: Your accountYou don’t need to sign up. SnapCount creates a guest account automatically the first time you open it, so your counts are saved.
- Keep your counts on a new device: create an account with your email in Profile › Guest › Create Account. Your existing counts come with you.
- Forgot your password? On the Sign In screen, tap Forgot Password? and then Send Reset Link.
- Sign out: Profile › Account › Sign Out. You can sign back in to see your counts again.
Without an account, your counts are tied to this installation of the app and may not be recoverable if you delete the app or change devices.
Tips for better counts
Link to section: Tips for better counts- Use Good LightDaylight works best. Avoid glare and hard shadows.
- Keep Everything in FrameSpread items out so they don’t overlap, and keep every one you want counted in view.
- Hold Steady and FocusTap the objects to focus, then take the photo.
If something gets in the way, the result tells you which of these it was:
- Blurry
- Low light
- Glare
- Too far away
- Very crowded
- Heavy overlap
- Cut off at the edge
- Busy background
- Steep angle
Frequently asked questions
Link to section: Frequently asked questionsThe count looks wrong. What can I do?
Check the numbered markers to see what was counted, then retake the photo using the tips above. Results are AI estimates, so always verify counts that matter.
What does “Estimate” mean?
When SnapCount can’t be sure of the exact number, it shows an estimate with a range, for example between 140 and 155, and a lower confidence score.
Why aren’t my objects numbered one by one?
Very large piles (over 150 objects) are counted zone by zone instead of marking every single item.
Can I use photos from my gallery?
Yes. Choose a photo from your gallery instead of taking a new one.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 16 or later. Android is coming soon.
How do I change the app’s language?
Go to Profile › Language. SnapCount is available in 40+ languages.
Do I need an account?
No. A guest account is created automatically. Create an email account if you want to keep your counts on another device.
